Burnley’s lone goal by Michael Keane’s noggin was enough to secure the three points against Brentford. Andre Gray joined Burnley, from Brentford, this week, but wasn’t involved at Turf Moor. For Burnley, this result ends stops their bad form. The newly relegated side only accumulated two points from three games and now have recorded their first win of the season. Brentford now sit with 4 points, but have a game in hand from the other 23 teams in the league. Brentford’s midweek game against Birmingham City was postponed. Still, with the fresh legs, the Bees couldn’t convert their chances. Many opportunities came in the first half, but unfortunately for them, they couldn’t convert. Nonetheless, Burnley deserved the win. The Clarets can now look at the win and continue to push for promotion. Brentford however, can look at the positives, and will try to reenact their promotion push from last season.
