In the first Championship game of the season, Brighton ended up securing three valuable points. Kazenga LuaLua’s goal five minutes after the restart ended up to be the game winner.

In an eventful first half, both teams hit the post. Ex-Arsenal man and Forest’s Henri Lansbury hit the post from a great free-kick, Brighton’s Beram Kayal hit the post from outside the box, and De Vries clawed out Tomer Hemed’s first-half header. Nonetheless, the half ended 0-0, with it being anyone’s game.

Second half was very even, but Kazenga LuaLua made it 1-0, and it stayed like that for the last 40 minutes of the match.

Brighton’s new signing, Bobby Zamora, was not included in Chris Hughton’s squad.

Still, a great game to begin a great Championship season.
