Sunderland midfielder Liam Bridcutt has today been linked with a loan move to Cardiff City, according to Wales Online.
Bridcutt has been heavily linked away from the Premier League strugglers in recent weeks and the Welsh publication believe Cardiff have joined the race to sign him, joining Leeds United and Reading.
The 26-year-old has struggled to find a place in the Sunderland first-team and his hopes of playing for the Black Cats appear to have taken another dive following the arrival of Sam Allardyce on Wearside.
The former Chelsea youngster only joined Sunderland from Brighton in January 2014, following Gus Poyet. However, he has failed to make a single appearance this season.
Bridcutt has been made available for a loan move and new Leeds manager Steve Evans was believed to be the favourite to secure the central midfielder’s signature. However, the interest of Cardiff appears to have complicated the issue.
