Bolton chairman Phil Gartside dies, aged 63
Bolton Wanderers chairman Phil Gartside has passed away after a battle with cancer.
In his 16-year stint with the Trotters, Bolton had an 11-year stay in the Premier League and two UEFA Cup campaigns.
Gartside was forced to pull out of negotiations in helping to sell Bolton after his health deteriorated.
Many supporters of the clubs and high-profile athletes have offered his condolences to Gartside’s friends and family after his death.
