Ross McCormack wanted by Fenerbahce on loan.
Turkish side Fenerbahce are reportedly plotting a shock move to sign Aston Villa striker Ross McCormack.
According to the Daily Mail, the Super Lig outfit remain keen to add a striker to their squad in the coming days, and have identified the former Fulham front man as a plausible target for a loan deal.
Sunderland held an interest in McCormack throughout the summer but a loan move for the Scotsman didn’t materialise. Visit Betway for the best odds on the weekend’s football.
Fenerbahce striker Robin van Persie recently dispelled claims that he was set for retirement in recent times, insisting that he is likely to be back within three weeks.
However, this hasn’t stopped the Turkish outfit from looking around for attacking reinforcements, with Everton outcast Oumar Niasse another name to have been touted with a move to Fenerbahce.
The Turkish transfer window is still very much active, and the deadline comes on Friday. So, there is still a possibility that they will land a new forward, with McCormack a man under consideration.
