The summer transfer window is finally underway and Championship clubs are beginning to plot their moves ahead of next season. Speculation is already rife and with the World Cup Betting Tips 2018 also being taken into account, many deals could be on and off before the window closes.

Here are some deals that could go down…

Benik Afobe to Stoke

Stoke City are reportedly on the verge of securing a £12m deal for Wolves striker Benik Afobe.

The forward completed a permanent move to Wolves last week, but already looks set to be heading out and moving back to the Championship.

Andre Gray to Stoke

Another forward Stoke are targetting is Burnley forward Andre Gray. The striker has struggled to find a regular place at Burnley and could drop down to the second tier to rediscover his form.

Emi Buendia to Norwich

Norwich look set to seal the signing of Getafe winger Emi Buendia. The 21-year-old Argentine impressed in the second division of Spanish football last season.

Leeds have also been linked with Buendia, but reports claim Norwich have already secured a £1.5m deal.

Danny Ward to Norwich or Swansea

Liverpool goalkeeper Danny Ward has been touted with a potential switch to Norwich or Swansea.

The two Championship clubs appear to be battling it out for his signature, with Liverpool ready to let him leave.

John O’Shea to Reading

With his contract at Sunderland up this summer, reports claim that O’Shea has agreed to sign for Reading on a free transfer.

Reading have already secured the free signing of David Meyler from Hull.

Joao Carvalho to Nottingham Forest

Nottingham Forest are set to complete the signing of Joao Carvalho from Benfica for a club-record fee.

Reports claim that Forest are set to pay £13m for the Portuguese midfielder.
